Ministry with Children and Youth
“Allow the children to come to me,” Jesus said. “Don’t forbid them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these children.” (Matthew 19:14, CEB)
We LOVE our children and we enjoy helping them grow in their faith with God.
Nursery & Son Quest
We have a nursery for children birth to two years old at both worship services. We offer Son Quest at both worship services for children two years old to third grade. Son Quest is age appropriate worship for children to help them grow in their walk with Jesus. We have Sunday School classes for children, birth through sixth grade.
KIDS ON A MISSION (KOAM)
Kids On A Mission meet Sunday afternoons at 4:30-6:00. At this time we learn how to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We focus on how to serve our community through missions. This program is for children two years old through sixth grade.
COVID has brought changes to our in-person gatherings. We are not currently holding Sunday School for children, youth, or adults. We hope we can resume soon. KOAM meet via Zoom on Sunday afternoons at 4:30. Our KOAM leaders also do “driveway visits” with the children every 4-6 weeks and bring crafts and bible stories to the kids.

All of our children and youth ministry programs follow a Safe Sanctuary program. If you would like to know more about the Safe Sanctuary program, please contact Nancy Fulbright (email@example.com) or the church office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)
Who we are…
Our United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is specifically designed to form disciples in the youth that are 6th – 12th grades. Throughout the year, youth and adult leaders gather each Sunday night from 4:30 – 6 pm for Bible study, worship, services, and fellowship. Our bible studies are interactive and provide youth the opportunity for connecting with other youth and the adult leaders.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not providing a meal as we were before the pandemic. We do have individually packaged snacks and water for the youth during the meeting.
Our past activities include helping at ECCM, working with Samaritans Purse, collecting food and other items for local non-profits, and making cards for a local nursing home. We participate in the worship service at least twice a year and assist as needed at other times. We will be attending Camp Tekoa – Foothills this summer since restriction for gatherings have been decreased.
We gather in our spacious Family Life Center and offer the youth a “safe place” to grow spiritually. We are a Safe Sanctuary church and follow those guidelines in our time together. We follow the churhces recommendations and guidelines for wearing a face covering and social distancing.
